Swiss Embassy
This is the crown prince of Akshay Pratistan exhibition. We have seen several exhibitions but this one superseeds each of the previous one. Not only it is managed exceptionally well, the participants and visitors are truely supportive.
This being our second exhibition at Swiss embassy, we decided to double our inventory, staff and be ready by 0900 hours. Everything was going on as planned but again like last year we were sold out at noon. At such short notice it was not possible to get another lot ready of confectionery, so we moved stock from our outlet to Akshay and requested our chefs to prepare for evening as it being a saturday lot of crowd may come in the evening.
Our new range of confectionery, theme cakes, custom chocolates, diwali gift hampers received an excellent response. We never thought we would need to insert additional pages in our visitor book for comments. Simply fantastic.
Our delivery van got stuck in traffic and bought the confectionery pretty late at around 7:00 pm. By 8:30 pm, we decided to do a Deli service land find out if exhibitors were interested in buying any of our products. We sold out everything within 20 minutes and people coming back to ask if we had any more left. The reason being was that exhibitiors themselves did not get time to visit other stalls and see what they were offering.
Hats off to Akshay and its management for organizing such an awesome event.

Wednesday flea - Select City Walk, Saket
The flea kicks of at 4:00 and ends at 10:00. We were opposite the food court and started off with selling off extremely quickly. But then it suddenly dropped for few hours and then picked up again.
Several people expressed interest in Diwali platters and the new range we had introduced which was followed up with several calls.

Green Park
We officially launched our new confectionery range at our Green Park Outlet. After months of testing of our products quality, presentation and delivery in our designer boxes. We did extremely well with our free samples, they disappeared in a flash :-). The sales started picking up in the evening once people started getting the taste of the samplers.

Ludhiana
Sofia Raj participated this year in Akshay Pratisthan held at Ludhiana. Learning from past experience of Chandigarh exhibition, this time we added new range of packaging that went well.
Lot of chocolatiers expressed interest in Sofia Raj range of products and creative range.
It was a success as follow up orders started flowing once we were back in Delhi.

Chandigarh
Sofia Raj participated this year in Akshay Pratisthan held at Hotel Shivalik in Sector 17. It was a slow event as there were several other exhbitions being held during the same time near to the same venue.
The exhibitors were kind enough to try out most of our new confectionary range which made our day.

Akshay Pratishthan, Swiss Embassy
Akshay Pratishthan based out of Vasant Kunj founded by Aruna Dalmia, New Delhi is a voluntary organization. The main focus of the organization is to provide rehabilitative services for the disabled persons through education, medical care, vocational training and self-employment.
Medical facilities include services such as physiotherapy, occupational therapy, prosthetic workshop, yoga and nature care and panic healing unit
The Akshay Pratishthan school provides educational needs with classes from nursery to standard VIII. Other activities include Intra / inter school competitions such as music, arts and crafts, sports and banner writing Akshay Pratisthan organizes an annual Diwali fete in the lawns of Swiss embassy every year where over 100 exhibitors from all over the country including famous brands and personalities take part. Earlier this event use to be held during December on the occasion of Christmas and with the support of the Swiss Ambassador, it is held for local traditions as well.
Sofia Raj got the opportunity to exhibit its chocolates and corporate gifts during this event. A large, weekend crowd, charged with festive spirit and last minute shopping rushed for a great demand for our chocolates and corporate gifts. Thanks to Akshay Pratishthan supporters and particpants for making this event such a big sucess.

The Valaya Magic Foundation
February 17 2008, 4 Duggal Farms, Chhattarpur
We are partneering with The Valaya Magic Foundation which is organizing Magic Collar, an exclusive haute carnival show for dogs on February 17 at Duggal Farm. Dogs will not only be walking the ramp with models, but will also be judged on their personality, gait, grooming and looks. Sofia Raj would be their offical chocolate partner for this event.
A special fashion show is presented by designers Ritu Kumar, Rohit Bal, Rajesh Pratap Singh, JJ Valaya and others.
